rough.

Yesterday I woke up to a house with no water and my mom brushing her teeth with bottled water. Somehow our pump on the well went out and to kick start it we needed ten gallons of water poured down a hole the size of a 50 cent piece. So I grabbed a bagel with butter and jam and took my little momma up to a friend's hotel she manages. We hauled 5 gallon containers of water with lids out of her maintenance room, through the breakfast area, across the lobby and outside. Talk about exercise and strength training! I might be cheating a little here, but I'm working myself into this exercise thing... We got the pump started 30 minutes before I had to be at work so i thankfully was able to shower and I was off to the races!
Was starving when I got to work and picked at left overs and was trying so hard to hold off until dinner. Now I'm aware that you're supposed to eat constantly, little healthy portions and whatnot. I am not there yet. My little portion would be ruffles sour cream and cheddar chips. Oh yes! So waiting till dinner.... which was banging. My maintenance guy has been pulling the grill out of the shed nightly and grilling us some of the best burgers I have ever had! He is a genius with the grill. So i only eat the burger...no sides or snacks and am full! What a great feeling. Not stuffed, not lazy, not meh, full. I'm feeling all good about this and patting myself on the back for the next few hours.
After work I hung out with some of the guys while they ran cable and internet in S's newly purchased home. D runs out and comes back with the juicest, greasiest, cheesiest looking pizza. I tried, I really did try to listen to my stomach, but it had been 5 hours at this point. I was all the sudden! hungry and I gave in. Two of the best pieces of pizza I've ever had. Its not so much the pizza in my mind as the eating at 11pm habit I've developed. Even if I'm up till 2 or 3am I still kick myself that I'm eating so late.
Today I am headed up to NYC to spend the evening with my sister and sit ring side at a boxing match. I'm very excited to be that close. I've never been to a boxing match although I'm fascinated by it and my little sister is one of my favorite people in the entire world. The attire I'm told is to be jeans, heels and a cute top. Cute top hasn't been in my wardrobe for quite some time. Its really hard to find cute tops for DD boobs. I have to say this is one of the most frustrating things about being overweight. What do I wear but more importantly... will I embarrass my adorably skinny sister in front of her friends. M is a fashion guru and one of the prettiest girls you will ever meet and she is good to her body. So when fatty fatty sister comes to visit, its gotta suck a little. It has to be a little embarrassing to introduce your formerly skinny sister to your ridiculously fit friends.

  1. I love how honest you are on your blog! Couple tips... 1) Cut out the extra butter and salt :) instead of putting butter and jam on your bagel just stick with the jam. 2) Next time you reach for a bag of chips make sure it is baked type of chip like baked lays. 3) Start packing your meals and snacks for work or hanging out with friends. Buy yourself a cute lunch box that you dont mind carrying around :) or upgrade your clutch to a small bag so you can carry some healthy snacks with you.

Next question, are you drinking water :) it is your best friend and can help you push through time you want to snack and shouldn't.

Good luck! Have fun in NYC!
